Youth Accounts

Good Habits Start Here

Kids learn money habits early — often before we realize it. By opening a Youth Account at ARC Federal Credit Union, you’re giving your child, grandchild, or loved one a head start toward smart saving and responsible money management.

Our Youth Accounts grow with them, offering age-appropriate tools and financial education at every stage — helping you set them up for lasting success.

Explore the tabs below to find the right account for their next step.

Their Journey Starts with You

You have the power to give your child or grandchild a head start on lifelong financial success. With a Zoe’s Club Youth Account from ARC Federal Credit Union, you can set them on the right path from the very beginning.

  • Start early, grow strong — open an account as soon as they have a Social Security Number with just a $5 deposit.
  • Build smart habits — parents and guardians receive a piggy bank and a Child ID Safety Kit to kickstart their savings journey.
  • Celebrate milestones — at age 6, your child will be welcomed to the next level of Zoe’s Club with a special birthday postcard and a free copy of Zoe Finds A Job — a fun, engaging way to teach them about saving, earning, and preparing for the future.
  • Reward their achievements — kids can complete challenges for cash deposits* and earn honor roll rewards* throughout the school year.
  • Get even more for older savers — children ages 6–12 also receive a drawstring backpack alongside their piggy bank, book, and Child ID Kit.

Give them more than an account — give them confidence, knowledge, and the tools to thrive.

*Cash rewards for honor roll and challenge certificates from Zoe Finds a Job must meet Zoe's Club Reward Procedures requirements for redemption. ARC reserves the right to modify these requirements at any time without notice. Click here for details or text/call (814)946-0857.

Real Money Skills for Real Life

As your child grows, so does their independence — and their relationship with money. With a Teen Account from ARC Federal Credit Union, you can help your teenager take their first real steps toward financial responsibility, with you by their side to guide them.

  • Upgrade their financial tools — at ages 13–17, teens become eligible for a checking account and debit card to learn smart saving and spending habits.
  • Support healthy habits — these accounts encourage teens to monitor their balance and stay within their means — no overdraft, no Courtesy Pay, just real-world money management.
  • Stay connected — as joint account owners, parents/guardians can access online banking 24/7 to monitor accounts, make transfers, and set custom alerts.
  • Celebrate achievements — students up to 12th grade can earn cash rewards* for every honor roll marking period — just bring in proof of grades after each term.
  • Welcome them with essentials — teens opening an account between ages 13–17 will receive an ARC FCU keychain and a drawstring backpack to get started.

When they turn 18, their account transitions to a regular savings (and regular checking if a teen checking was opened) — giving them full access without overdraft restrictions. Parent/guardian joint owners can be removed from the account at this time, if desired.

Give your teen the tools they need now — and watch their confidence grow with every smart decision they make.

Not Just Adulting - Thriving.

Turning 18 brings new freedom — but it also brings financial decisions that can feel overwhelming. At ARC Federal Credit Union, we believe you deserve more than being left to figure it out alone. We’re here to support you as you take control of your financial future.

While members ages 18–24 have access to the same powerful accounts as any adult, we know this is a crucial time for building smart money habits. Without the right guidance, it’s easy to fall into costly traps like overdraft cycles or poor credit decisions — mistakes that can follow you for years.

That’s why we connect you with the tools and support you need right from the start:

  • Financial education, online and in-branch — learn the basics of budgeting, saving, and smart spending.
  • Loan support — we’ll guide you through understanding your credit score or starting a student loan application.
  • One-on-one counseling — our financial counselor is here if you need help getting back on track or navigating new financial challenges.
  • Next-level savings — ready to grow your money? We can help you open a money market, CD, or IRA to start investing in your future.

Adulting is hard enough, managing your money shouldn’t be. Wherever you’re starting from, we’re here to make sure you have the knowledge and confidence to move forward.
